Set these on your host before deploying. Each platform has an “Environment Variables” section in the deploy flow.

  • DATABASE_URL secret Main database
  • DATABASE_AUTHENTICATOR Database role for postgraphile to switch from
  • DATABASE_VISITOR Database role to run all queries
  • SHADOW_DATABASE_URL secret Migration database to check integrity
  • ROOT_DATABASE_URL secret Migration database to drop others
